Faith Formation at Saint Michael Parish
We are working diligently to develop a plan that will best serve the families of Saint Michael Parish during this time of COVID-19.
Sacramental Preparation Policy
The liturgical life of the Church revolves around the Sacraments. It is our joy to accompany your child on this sacramental journey. The Archdiocese of Seattle requires a full year of faith formation prior to the immediate year of preparation for theSsacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist, along with regular attendance at Sunday Mass. Formal faith formation includes participation in F.A.I.T.H., Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, or Catholic school education.
Preparation for Confirmation leads the young Christian toward a more intimate relationship with Christ and the Holy Spirit so they can fully live out their Christian life. The reception of the Sacrament has real and profound effects on the person. The Confirmation Ministry is a one-year program for teens and their parents that is engaging and intentional Catholic formation through small groups, retreats, and service opportunities.
