Do you have a Servant’s Heart?
Consider helping at the SMP Men’s Shelter
Men’s Shelter volunteers evangelize through prayerfully engaging with guests at the SMP cold weather Men’s Shelter, while providing a secure and safe environment for the men to have a homemade meal, hot shower, and a restful night’s sleep. Thanks to our dedicated team of laundry angels, each guest gets their clothes freshly laundered once per week.
We are still in need of overnight hosts and laundry angels, so if you have a heart to serve the homeless and are interested in being part of this ministry, we need you!
The overnight hosts arrive at 6:30pm and leave at 6:45am. For safety reasons, at least one of the overnight hosts must be a male. Available shifts that need to be filled:
One more male overnight host for the fourth Wednesday of the month
One more male overnight host for the second Thursday of the month
One more male overnight host for the third Thursday of the month
People who can work those rare Monday/Tuesday shifts that occur in the fifth week of the month
Laundry Angels – Pick up and drop off laundry bedding and towels. Laundry Angels may opt to do personal laundry for guests.
