Do you have a Servant’s Heart?

Consider helping at the SMP Men’s Shelter
Men’s Shelter volunteers evangelize through prayerfully engaging with guests at the SMP cold weather Men’s Shelter, while providing a secure and safe environment for the men to have a homemade meal, hot shower, and a restful night’s sleep. Thanks to our dedicated team of Laundry Angels, each guest gets their clothes freshly laundered once per week.

Our shelter will open November 1 and run until March 31, Monday through Thursday (the shelter operates at Sacred Heart the other three nights each week). We are in particular need of overnight hosts and leads. Other volunteer opportunities include sack lunch preparers, dinner chefs, and laundry angels (who may choose to launder linens only, or also launder the men’s personal clothing).

No experience necessary and training is provided.

Note: Safe Environment training is required for overnight hosts and leads.
