Pastoral Care & Community Outreach

Saint Michael parishioners are active in virtually every type of community service imaginable. In fact, Saint Michael Parish is one of Thurston County’s largest non-governmental service providers.  From our St. Vincent de Paul Society that helps people struggling to pay monthly bills to the Clothing Bank and Pregnancy Aid,  from the Community Kitchen to the Thurston County Food Pantry and many other ministries, our parishioners are intimately involved in helping our community in a variety of ways.

We also bring Holy Communion to the homebound as well as provide faith-based support groups such as Grief Support, Cancer Support and others. Our parishioners minister to those in prison and provide prayer shawls to those needing support for any reason!

Choose Community

We have a host of active groups at Saint Michael Parish for every stage of life you find yourself in. From small groups to prayer groups, from councils and commissions to the Knights of Columbus, you’re sure to find a group that speaks to your heart and helps you build community and live out your spiritual call to holiness.

Parish Support

Want to serve the parish in some way? There are so many ministries that are critical for SMP to be able to provide liturgies, programs, functions and formation. Serve the liturgy by becoming a greeter or lector or singing in one of our choirs. Help us to provide quality Faith Formation to children and adults. Help out in the office with administrative support. Fulfill the Great Commission by helping to spread the Gospel on one of our Evangelization teams.
