High School Youth Ministry
High School Ministry invites ALL freshmen through seniors to be a part of a Holy Spirit-filled community, along with their friends who they are encouraged to invite. Jesus meets us all where we are and walks alongside us all (1 John 1:7). We believe that the Eucharist is the source and summit (CCC 1324), and our relationship with Jesus Christ is the focus at Saint Michael Parish. We intent to impart the Catholic faith to our youth and invite them to practice and live out the faith in their lives.

Offerings
Teenagers engage with stories and narratives; each Life Teen series provides a thematic approach to a particular topic within our Catholic faith over four sessions. This format allows your group to really dive into specific topics, engage them, and grow with them.
1st & 3rd Sundays: 3–4:30pm
As our teen leads mature in their faith, their needs change. Unleashed addresses the needs of evangelized teen leads that are looking to go deeper.
2nd Mondays: 6–7:30pm
Docat is studying information on social justice for young people, helping them to get to know and live the social doctrine of the Church.
Tuesdays: 6:30–7:30pm
Word Up Wednesday is our mid-week bible study.
Wednesdays: 6–7pm in the sanctuary
Senior Summit is a lectionary-based discipleship group for our HS seniors that focuses each session on the Sunday readings for that week. These short yet impactful small group sessions allow teenagers to engage with God’s Word while preparing for the Sunday liturgy, all while journeying as disciples with a group of their peers.
Thursdays: 5:30–7pm

Middle School Youth Ministry
Middle School Ministry encourages our 6–8th grade students to explore their Catholic faith. We support ministry to, with, and by middle school students, seeking to draw them into a responsible participation in the life, mission and work of our Catholic faith community. During their middle school years, they will be able to journey through Theology of the Body and will receive the beautiful sacrament of confirmation.Middle School Ministry and confirmation are integrated as one program.
Middle School Goings On
Middle School
Offerings
On Sundays there are three programs (EDGE, Confirmation, and Theology of the Body) in one middle school ministry, allowing middle school students to journey together and experience important components of the Catholic faith.
- 1st–3rd Sundays: 3–4:30pm
Edge is a Catholic middle school youth ministry program. It provides a place for youth to find a solid Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way. EDGE speaks to the physical, psychological, cognitive, relational, and spiritual maturation of middle school youth.
For 8th graders who are interested in becoming High School Teen Leads. They will study and become the great leaders that God is calling them to be, first learning how to be disciples.
5th Mondays: 4–5pm
Youcat for Kids is an introduction to the teachings of the Catholic Church for our 5th and 6th grade students. Cheerful drawings encourage the young readers to explore and ask questions, which helps to initiate an exciting conversation with children about Jesus, the sacraments, prayer, and more.
4th Tuesdays of the month starting September 28, 2021 at 3:30pm
Youcat is the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adolescents and young people. The most important elements of the faith are summarized briefly and comprehensively in a question-and-answer format. We invite all 7th and 8th graders to attend.
Tuesdays 5–6pm
Word Up Wednesday is our mid-week bible study.

Mission
Our mission is to place God first in all things, proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and grow in holiness through prayer, sacraments and service.

Our vision is to develop young faith-filled Catholic people, transformed in mind, heart and spirit, and on fire for Christ. We value the active support and involvement of parents and community as we strive to implement this vision.

Relationship
We want our youth to personally experience the love of Jesus Christ and carry it throughout their lives.
Teen Confirmation
Preparation for the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation requires two years of engagement in faith formation.
